The Taos Pueblo Native Americans have a legend that says the Taos Pueblo Native American People were created from the river that runs through the Pueblo. If you haven’t visited the Taos Pueblo, and other Pueblos on New Mexico, I highly encourage you to do so. At the end of the Pueblo tour, the guide stops the group by the river and tells the legend of the Taos people. After my son listened to the legend, he stood next to the river and seemed to wonder about the possibility. The picture below perfectly captured his wonder.
More on my trip to the Taos Pueblo to follow. I have over 7oo RAW images to review!

I was traveling through New Mexico. I’ve been busy catching up with work and editing all of the pictures I took last week.

The moment that I’ve been waiting for. The cream of the wedding photography crop (in humble opinion) the Canon 24-70 f/2.8L is in my hands.

I’ll try and get out to take some test shots and post the shots here.

Scott Kelby has posted his Worldwide Photo Walk 2009 Q&A. It’s a riot! Make sure you read the post. You have until July 25th to upload 2 photos for the Worldwide Photo Walk 2009 contest. That’s right – only 2 (two) photos. Any more than that and it’s bad news…
I have a gift card/10% discount offer on my photography business site. Get info here.
I’m patiently waiting for my Canon 24-70 f/2.8L USM lens from B&H. I’ll post some shots as soon as I get my hands on the lens.
Rick Sammon instructs you on “Looking for Pictures.”
Just a reminder that tomorrow is the 2009 Worldwide Photo Walk. If you haven’t done so, get to Scott Kelby’s site and sign up for your town. I’ll be posting my favorite shots to Flickr and SmugMug.
Received an email from my potential first customer today. I feel relived that someone contacted me, and I also felt a little pang in the stomach. The pang came from the realization that I will have a subject other than a family member. Pretty exciting!
Bonus!! I have a small wedding scheduled for October! The wedding will be small with only 20 guests, but it will be fun!
I finally made it. After years of debating, studying, and practicing photography, I decided to make a go of it.
In order to gain more experience, I’m offering to do a free photo session for area non-profits. It costs you nothing but time, and I get experience. I’m also offering to be a second-shooter for other photographers, professional or amateur.
